why would you want to do that? They look really ugly............
I want a chopped truck,it is gonna have a v8 and i do not care about looks .
It is what i have ,i am not rich and it will be the last ride i will build. iT WILL ALSO have a full cage in it. I have been doing this since 1968. Been a mechanic for 38 years.
Because he can
HERE'S an article on doing one...joe
I like this Chopped S10
I am in it for horsepower not gonna take it to shows.
Klutch, I would not worry bout what moter is saying. You envision what you want, do it!
I intend to .It is not my first rodeo. I am 54 years old .I know what i want by now.
hey that one chopped one looks cool. i say do what you want.
Why would you say that to him?????? If you can't answer the question, don't reply.
I think of it as telling off the chef before he cooks your food! Not a good idea! and everyone on this site are the chef's! (remember that when you need to ask something)
I see you have no car listed, or you don't like it either!
I have had 7 S-10's & have 2 of them now, for daily drivers, it is not what I'm building on. except the Vortex 4.3/tranny out of the '93 will be going into my wifes '27 Tudor Sedan.
Iv'e seen some cool ones back in Mn. Trucks & Blazers

How are you going to get around the curved side glass? Lexan?
There are people who think chopped Merc's are ugly. Just ignore 'em.
If you check out the chopped one in the video, you'll see that he moved the window tracks and opening down and forward. This will eliminate the triangular mirror mounting at the front corner of the window and will allow about a 3 1/2 inch reduction in roof height-with the stock roll-down side glass.
I was thinking about this idea before, but I guess somebody beat me to it! I think if I were doing it, I'd probably shorten the length of the door as well, because the thicker rear post on the door looks a little odd, to me.
I've got an S-10, too. The one I have now is my second and I love 'em.
Good luck with your project and share pics if you are able. I'd love to see 'em.

Shea:)
I will show step by step with pics if any one wants mme to. I did that when i did my 51 chevy.
Awesome. Looking forward to seeing your work once you get goin'.
I'll start pictures of mine come Spring, when I actually start cuttin' on the poor thing...

Shea:)
the discreet chop on that looked way cooler than the paint and colors used,
but I wouldn't be rude and say they were ugly.
Joe,
