you do not have to deal with the rear main seal less you want to ? the pan can be done with out getting in to the rear main it is under the rear main cap the oil pan gasket is seals on top of the main capIrish Diplomacy ..the ability to tell someone to go to Hell ,,So that they will look forward to to the trip
