I am looking for info on swapping engines in an 04 Dodge cummins diesel. Pull the cab? anything else?

I just got back from a 2300 mile round trip for a 04 24 valve engine and he is going after the 04 with the blowed up engine. I really hope he finds someone else to do the swap.
