Placed a mock engine & trany between the new frame rails.
Just to find out that the stock type motor mounts and the high doller canton oil pan is not going to work. Going to have to use motor plates instead of the stock motor mounts. I could slide the motor forward a little, but I still don't think it would be enough to clear the new cross member for the mustang two front end. I could move the cross member back some but the rack still has to go on the front of that. So I guess I'll be buying a new oil pan now.
I actually bought this pan for a 73 mavrick years ago and never used it.
But this is one nice pan, dang it all. Well now I'm at a stand still, till I figure
out what to do next. Kurt

Do you have a side shot of it Kurt??? Anyway one of the pans made for swapping the 460 into a Fox chassis would work?????

Hey Dave; I've found the pan I've got to get now on the canton oil pan site.
I've gotta get the junk that goes with it, Scrapper, screen, pick up tube, stud girdle for the mains. And your right it's the fox body type pan, Rod & Custom motor sports recommends it and contract's canton pan's for thier own version of it.

Yeah, they're an ok pan..... I'll keep it in mind if I run across anyone that needs one...

Ya Dave; I agree with you for the price, they should be awsome.
I have had more then a few friends that have used them, and have had problems were they won't seal or leak from one or more of the welds.
I bought all the stuff with mine windage tray, dip stick, oil pickup and pump with thier screen. Dip stick goes strait in from the side and you can't tell
how much oil is in the pan. Can't use the old dip stick with out drilling a hole
in your newwindage tray. The price on my pan, came down since I got mine.
For the money you pay for them, you should not have to modify anything on them. But what can you do when no one else makes them for your engine.
For the money your Absolutely right, they are just OK. Kurt
