I don't remember the year but one time we pulled a 9 inch out of one of those that actually had a 2.29 gear in it.
75 Mark V that I disassembled had a 460/C6 and 9 3/8 with 2.80 gears.
some were between 2.50 and 2.80 i was thinking 2.50or (2.65) 280 i use to throw all them in the trash and keep the limited slips i at one time use to get 9 s out of the wecking yard just can not rember any more but all but very few were bigger then that like said there a tag on one of the center bolts right hand side ?
Thanks Guys, I Am An Old X Hot Rodder From The 60ies. It Seems
That I Remember If You Counted The Teeth On The Pinion Gear And
The Teeth On The Ring Gear Then Divided Pinion Into Ring You Would
Get The Actual Gear Ratio....is This Tru Or False....rdobbs
YUP.................Actually you can check it without opening it up if you wish...if it's posi(doubt it) just count the rotation of the driveshaft to one rotation of the wheels...On an open gear, lift one wheel and count the rotations of the driveshaft to TWO rotations of the wheel..Quote:
