I need your help guys! Im trying to find a product that will closely resemble japanese lacquer. Ive been all over google trying to find out anything about it but with no luck. All i know is its a natural resin from some japanese tree.

So i figured i could use a 2 part epoxy resin but i need one that will hold a rigid shape but still be flexible as to not shatter when hit or bumped.

I have been testing a product called Sikadure 52 its a construction repair resin but i think it will be to brittle, it snaps like plastic. I thought about fiberglass resin but i think it will be too brittle also. Any products you guys recommend?
