Why not - they are close regardless and I did the '32 rear mounted tank for mine. I felt that it was safer then the usual other 3 areas:

Crawl under a car with these and you will find that the fronts of these tanks are the cars low point - especially in the event of a front wheel or suspension failure or off road excursion.
The rear '32 style tank, though still not optimum, IMO will give you the best chance to escape a gas fire in the event of a crash.
