the calipers are GM metric. the braided line connects to the caliper, but the way the indentation is in the caliper it forces the line to run towards the front of the car not allowing me to run it to the frame behind the wheel where i believe it should be. i can take a pic if it helps, but i can't find my camera right now :o
I was faced with the same problem. My friend who is a pro builder with 26 years experience asked me a question.... You look at magazine adds don't you? I answered yes. Brake lines belong in front of the caliper, it is more natural. He showed me the difference and how the line moved. In my case it worked better and did not have any twists in the line. Look at different banjo fittings from russell performance and other companies to see what works best for you. Hope this helps
hmm i thought about running it to the front, but it seemed like the spring would interfere. I'll have to take a closer look at it since i didn't actually turn the wheel. for some reason i thought it should be run behind the caliper. it seems like it is more out of the way that way, but that picture looks like it would work pretty well. those rotors look nice :toocool: ...i wish i had gone with them instead of the stock steel ones. thanks hotrodtrux

A little grinding may get you where you want to go.

Here's the way the lines run on my 32, a little more common way to do it.
Gets in the way sometimes, but doesn't take long to learn to work around it.

If I don't do the tie-rod mounted line bit, I'm thinking of plain black rubber hoses for the 31 roadster.
It's more of an old style build anyway.
wow that tie rod mounted line is interesting...does it run across the whole rack? the way you did it on your 32 is the way i had in my head. what calipers are those?
i'm tired of paying for over priced fittings and i have already had to grind my spindles to clear the discs (still don't) so i'll probably just run the lines forward. the problem is i didn't buy thru frame fittings, i went with the tabs so i have to figure out how to run the line across the front crossmember and mount the tab so it clears the tie rod hmmm.

Probably not too late to buy through the frame fittings.
Regular AN 90* bulkhead fittings work fine if you want to run the brake lines inside the frame.
Be sure and support the brake line with adequate clamps along the way.
Adels work fine here. (Adels are flat sheet metal clamps with a molded rubber liner, commonly used on airplanes, but very popular on hot rods.)
You can get different sizes of Adels at True Value hardware, found mine in the electrical dept.)
The 32's calipers and rotors are 68-70 Mustang.
There are a whole bunch of other Fords that used these same front disc brakes.
I believe there's a list of them over on the HAMB.
