Having to pull the engine in the 46 so I'm going to put the Mustang II front suspension under her front, any thoughts on which one to use. Looking at a bolt on kit from chassisengineeringinc. Any thoughts.

CE stuff is well engineered and built. I haven't used their bolt in front ends, but have installed several rear kits, and center member kits, always fit and worked well.
Their bolt in kit is an option for those who don't feel they have the ability or desire to weld in a "normal" kit, and the height adjustability is interesting. It is a bulkier setup so will likely require some additional clearancing. Once bolted in and measured out correctly I would probably still run some welds for "insurance". But that's just me. From an aesthetics standpoint I'd go with a weld in setup. My personal choice is Heidt's, IMHO the best there is in build quality, appearance and ease of install.
Thanks - I'll give the weld in some thought, Already have about a four inch drop on the car and would like to keep that. Bulkie doesn't sound like something I would like.
When I was building my 37 ford I used http://www.totalcostinvolved.com/
and the kit was very well designed and built , and when I had a question I called them up and they were excellent to talk to and helped me 100% .
just another place to check on :)
Thanks SprayTech - just looked at Heidt's looks like the suspension comes ready to go not sure thought - the chassisengineeringinc looks like about 4 different part numbers to get everything - Just don't won't to order a IFS and get in the middle of the project and not have everything. Also taking out the 350 trans out and dropping a 700R in.
Heidt's is one of the premier suspension kits. As with most good stuff, they're not cheap.
Talk to Heidt's today and chassisEngineering both very helpful and good things to say about each other, both also said them got parts from each other. For whatever thats worth. I order the bolt on kit from ChassisEngineering today, hope it was a good call. We'll see.
