Thank you very much for the compliment-I feel like I've been very lucky, but really, a lot of people on the Board coached me, so I feel like it's a collobrative effort.

You see in Magazines and on the 'net about people who Chop tops in a weekend-I'll bet I have 200+ Hours in the Chop and Fill (probably because I am a rookie), and it took way more time than I thought it would. I was scared at first to pick up the Saw, but I decided that if I wanted it chopped, I would jut have to do it-take your time, it is possible, and I would be happy to help you with what I know (which isn't much)-

As for the Tank, I had to have a custom Tank built because the rear of the Frame has been narrowed, so I had Rock Valley make it, then I sent it out and had it polished-

This is an experiment using Photobucket and showing this great car and the progress made. I'm going to make a second post direct from my files afterwards because these will "disappear" someday when I clean my 'bucket albums

i was talking to rock valley also. i am recessing the license plate in the body below the trunk lid and putting the filler behind it. so i need a somewhat custom tank with the filler out the back. rock valley can do it for about $1000 with a pump. after i realized it includes the pump its an alright deal, but im hoping for cheaper...too many things cost way more than i'd like :LOL:. i just spent $140 on two fittings and a line to connect my clutch mc to the slave cylinder :whacked:

what color are you planning on and when do you hope to finish it? I for one can't wait to see it done...you don't see many "modern" style 35's :3dSMILE:

Rock Valley does some amazing work, but you are right, they aren't cheap. I'm not certain if it's true, but I thought I'd heard that Tanks now does Custom work possibly? You might check that out.

They say that Color choice is one of the hardest to figure out, and in my case that is absolutely true-I have waffled so much on this. Anyway, as of now, I think it will be Black bottom with a Copper top (think of a Duracell Battery :whacked: ) , separated at the Body line, although a Silver Top doesn't sound so bad :whacked: **) :CRY: :rolleyes:

color choice isn't too hard in my case. my father has wanted this car candy apple for the last 50 years that is has been in primer :eek: . we still don't know if we actually want candy apple or a darker metallic red or maroon, but it's pretty well narrowed down anyway :LOL:
