Im running a 3000lb plymouth with no power booster and with drum brakes. They dont give me any problem with stopping, you just have to know that they need more pressure placed on them and you have to plan ahead when your going to stop. You cant stop as quickly as a modern car, but a lot of cars came out with drums and no one complained.
