Power Seats
I just picked up a pair of seats from a 95 Camaro. I am planning on installing these seats in my 65 chevelle, 327, MSD IGNITION, dual electric fans, otherwise all stock. The problem is, the driver seat is a power seat. Is there a way to wire up the power seat to this car? Do I need the wire harness for the Camaro? I want the power seat to be functional. There are two wires, a red and a black. Im assuming black is ground and red is power. Thanks in advance.

If there are only the two wires and the switch is on the seat, you should be good to go, no problem. just hook up power to it.

I second what he said above. Double check everything and make sure there isn't supposed to be other wires to the motor before you hook things up and possibly burn the motor up. I have leather powered and heated seats in my 66 F100 but it has more than just two wires for the powered part. Then again yours might only be for forward and back and that is it where as mine goes up down, the back goes forward or back, tilt, front to back, etc...

I put a set of '95 Riviera seats in a '49 shoebox. Hook up power and ground and they work great. Enjoy :)

I think a hot and a ground is all you need.

Mororhed65,
The guys are right just hook it up, red for hot and black for ground. Look in the Camaro and see what size fuse to use and you'll be good to go.
CRUISER

Hot and ground should do it. I have Taurus SHO buckets in my 57 Olds both are power. Also have 260Z seats in the 34. All power, no fancy wiring. Thinking about replacing the 34 seats with heated ones since the car has no heat. Like the thought of warm buns in January.:D
