That's where the problem is. The lokar auto sticks all have this button in the shift knob for the lockout features. I assume there is a cable or something that runs down the tube where as the standard shift levers are solid.

I think Hurst/Mr. gasket used to have shifters that looked similar to a 4 speed. I can see you wanting a shifter without a button. I don't understand fake stuff tho. That was more what I saw in the topic. Kinda like the Olds valve covers on a chevy thing.

i'm building this car for a customer. but the main reason is looks. the auto console in 66 was butt ugly so i'm going to use the 4 speed console which looks better. the owner wants a 60's hotrod look . the mr gasket is a cable shifter and mounts to the floor.
