magnaflux
I'm looking for info. about magnafluxing. Back in the old days (35 yrs ago), I worked at an engine rebuilding factory. Back then we used the dry magnetic powder method for finding cracks in heads, etc. Iv'e read about a dye method. What would be the most economical method. I would like to magnaflux the welds on the chasis I'm building. There isn't much on EBAY right now, maybe i just need to watch it for awhile and something may come up. The dye method looks like it may be relatively inexpensive? What are the pros & cons of each? Is there a better method out there?
Thanks
