Real Dumb Chev. HEI question
Okay, some back ground info, i'm currently building a 47 ford sedan delivery as a shop truck, it has a chev. vortech 350,700R4 trans and a ford 9 inch rearend.
My problem is the engine will not start, i have fuel, compression, oil pressure but no spark! the dist. that i was trying to use is a unknown. when looking at a new dist. they all have three wires coming from the dist. housing, was told that they were for a timing module on a computer car.
Will the engine run with out these wires hooked to anything? do i have to use some type of jumper? or do i have to find one with out these wires, no one at the parts store could tell me
Told you in the beginning it was a dumb question, but when you only do chassis and fabrication work, its real easy to be dumb as a rock on something like this.
Any help would be great, Thanks
I saw last night on fb about John. The world sure lost a great one. I'm going to miss his humor, advice, and perspective from another portion of the world. Rest in Peace Johnboy.
