Help with 33 DeSoto
I have recently picked up a 33 DeSoto coupe and need some help on a few points. I have been collecting parts and let me start off by listing them
The car is going to be 100% stock bodied. All the correct bumpers, lights, door handles, horns, etc. I have so far picked up:
330 DeSoto hemi
700r4
c4 corvette front suspension
What I need help with is the overall theme, colors etc. The original wheels were wood. I would like to stick with the mopar theme there and run Dayton big spoke knock off wire wheels. I was thinking 17" in the front and 19" in the rear with 4 wheel shockwaves. Here is a stock coupe.
The chrome treatment will also be as stock. Here is a picture of a very nice stock convertible sedan.
The dash will also be stock with woodgrained dash and garnish moldings.
Shooting for a ride height similar to this 33 chrysler.
Any way any input would be appreciated.
".......So sanded it all down and resprayed. ......" Been there. done that on a couple of paint jobs over the years. Usually took me a couple of days to get over being mad before I started...
