I'm on the same boat as you. Sound deadener is exspensive and the cheapest stuff i found was by second skin audior. I'm using that then some foil covered bubble wrap from menards.

There are a lot of products available to insulate your car, some inexpensive some not so. All require a lot of work, some much more than others. The two spray ons, Cool Car and Lizard Skin, are both excellent. You can also use Dynamat and other similar products. The only thing to keep in mind, is make damn sure what ever you use it is not flamable. There is stuff available that will insulate but will also burn in the event of a fire.

One thing to lose your wiring or your car to a fire, another thing to lose a life.:eek: :(
