I am guessing it is some type of circle track engine? Would it make a ok Daily driver or strip engine?

Some racing sanctions and classes use a "claimer rule" to keep costs down. The idea is that the competitor would not want to risk putting say $10K into a engine, if the claimer rule allowed another competitor to "claim it for say $2500." The claim amount is set by the racing organization at the begining of the season. It's a circle track rule in certain entry level classes.
