... do you have a good ground wire on the sender? As for turn lights, my best guess is problems in the wiring (short in the dash harness, bad dash ground, bad contacts with connector(s)) which could also cause your problems with the fuel gauge...

If you have a volt/ohm meter you can start by testing the continuity of the wires to the dash gauges, etc...
