Customer brought this in saturday. Previous "painter" ruined the bumpers with his airbrush according to the owner! I gotta fix what he did, but we are also gonna add a "Slash" style dragcar graphic from the nose back, in purple pearl... Its got a 496, runs 5.63 1/8th (he's guessing, as its not been run yet, brand new car). I'll post some more pix as we get it into it. THIS is the kind of work that makes me LOVE what I do!!:D Donny

Interesting mix of mid-year body and '70ish grille/bumper. Probably helps the aerodynamics.

Well, here it is!! I took it outside today for the owner to see, still gotta cut and buff... Purple Rhapsody graphic w/grey and charcoal outlines, a few white "speed" stripes in the purple and some faint drop shadowing. Then silvered the bumpers and grills, airbrushed them and the emblems... He's happy!

Thanks guys! Its the first racecar that I've done...very cool to have been chosen to do it. Of course since I've gotten hooked up with him, its got me wanting to start going to the drags again (both my sons, 13 and 16, got "hooked" on the smell when he fired it to pull it back in!!) so I guess thats gonna be a new family thing, of sorts! I'm expecting a couple more calls because of this one as well. The owner builds cars for other people and said after seeing it, that he will spread the word about me...hope this is the start of a good year for us, we could use a strong one, cuz its slow so far! Well, I finally got it headed back home today!! Owner came this morning and picked it up. He was VERY happy with our work AND time frame as well. Just under 2 weeks start to finish. I had hoped it would only be one, but we had 3 days of wetsanding and buffing alone!! Couple shots from this morning as his WIFE puts it in the trailer, to wrap it up!
That is some excellent paint work!!!! Easy to see why the owner was happy!!!!
