Or how can I make my old/ used fan shroud look new? I bought it through e-bay and I would like to clean it up before I install it. Going to clean it up with Simple Green but dont know whether to paint to make it look "like new".

With plastic parts, I've had good luck with Mothers vinyl cleaner, then a good coating of armoral. Since it's not in direct sunlight, it should last a long time. Also used it on metal with great results. The engine in my 83' Suzuki was black. After washing, coated with armoral. Went to look at new bikes and the dealer thought my Suzuki was new.
Simple Green full strength and a bit of time with some scrubbing brushes should get it cleaned up. I switched to a purple cleaner that Car Quest sells, even better then Simple Green!
Is it Bio-degradable? Simple green is a strong cleaner to be "friendly", if its is better Ill try it.Quote:
