Digital gauge problem
Hello, I'm new to this forum and the hot rod scene. I bought a 34 Ford coupe and it has SSD digital gauges in it. The water temp gauge doesn't read actual temp and I was wondering if anyone knows anything about these gauges. When the gauge gets to 51 the thermostat opens and it cools back to about 46. I would rather know actual temp and wondered if there were any adjustments that I could make to the guage to make it read properly. I have looked and looked on the internet and can't find SSD digital gauges anywhere. Thanks for any help you can give me!

The paper work I got with the car describes the gauges as SSD digital gauges. The gauges are in one panel, the speedometer just reads MPH and not mileage. I havn't taken the gauges out yet to see if anything is on the back of them. I guess this will be the next project after getting the radiator put back in after having to have it fixed. I sold my dirttrack car and bought this coupe, thinking I wouldn't have to work on it as much. So much for that! LOL

What I would do is I would contact Dakota Digital and tell them your problem.

I tried searching for SSD gauges online from google and such but found nothing. Must be a small time company that didn't last long or foreign...www.streamlineautocare.com
If you wan't something done right, then you have to do it yourself!

I thought about it maybe being in celcius but it doesnt work out. Im going to pull the gauges out and see what I can find. I might go ahead and install some other gauges so that I know what I have. Thanks for the the help.

You will most likley have to change all the senders if you change the gauges.George
