They say that the commercials made up on You Tube that cannot be put on TV (because of bad language or anything like that) are actually better and get better hits (or whatever you want to call it) than the ones on actual TV. I heard about a Burger King and Ronald McDonald one where the king drives by ronald in a car and gives him the bird and shoots him. Supposedly really funny, I have not found it yet.
Must have AAA card, must.Quote:

Plus I get a free rental car for 1 day after the tow so this gives me time to fix the car...... ;)
Im looking into getting Hagerty Classic car insurance, which also provides 3 tows per year, but Im not sure how much mileage each tow covers, Ill need to check that....
This has got to be the most interesting thread in a while.
My son asked his driver's ed instructor what he should do if he gets a flat out on the highway. "Call AAA and have the car towed home...so dad can fix it." Was the reply.
I carry in my super reliable diesel truck, spare lift pump, belt, tools for changing belt, tools for changing lift pump, tools for changing injector pump, hyd floor jack, 2 4 ton jack stands, creeper, rubber mat to roll on, 10 gal diesel, 3500watt generator, air compressor, electric impact, very larger tire cross, come-a-long, 20 ton recovery strap, large jumper cables, tire chains, 5 gal water cooler (full), 1/4,3/8 socket set and ratchets, selected 1/2 and 3/4 drive sockets with breaker bars and adaptors, metric 1/4 and 3/8 dr sockets, end wrench metric and US, large crescent wrench, med hammer, oil filter, air filter, 2 fuel filters, 3 gal 15-40 oil, fuel additives, 2 headlight bulbs, tail light bulbs, full set of fuses, and 12v coffee pot with filters and coffee. Also all weather clothing. just to name the most important items.
None of these tools come out of the truck except for truck repair.
With all this junk I've still had to hoof it 30+ miles so far. haha:mad:
In my wallet is bank card for new injector pump if needed, and AAA card, and insurance card (towing)
I can also service the streetrod from the truck if necessary.
In the trunk of my coupe I have a tool bag with a full set of metric and SAE combination wrenches, metric and SAE 3/8 drive sockets, ratchet & two extensions (3" & 6"), a hammer, 4" wire cutters, 4" needle nose, channel locks, vise grips, assorted screw drivers, extra fuses, a 3-foot jumper wire with alligator clips, and electrical tape. Also in the trunk is a compact scissors-jack, 1/2 drive breaker bar with lug nut socket, a tire-plug kit, 12-volt compressor, some shop rags, and an old bath towel.
Up front, there is a "shake & shine" LED flashlight in the glove compartment, some more clean shop rags under my seat, a compact umbrella uner the passenger seat, the AAA card is in my wallet, and my cell phone is on my belt. Just in case some asshole thinks he wants to take my baby for a joyride without my consent, there is either a 9mm or .45 cal. semi-auto pistol in my waistband.:HMMM:
When I drove my coupe on vacation last year, I also carried a spare set of points, condensor, a new fuel pump, a little box of assorted nuts & bolts, and, of course, a roll of duct tape. Also, the gun went in the trunk because my permit is not good in all states. Fortunately, I didn't have to use any of it.:D :D
That gun is only safe if you dont have the first shot or two loaded. That way you dont get it reversed on your ass! Heh. That AAA card will help.
Lots of Chevy parts and tools for Chevys so I can help them as they break down along the road...
Jack
AAA Premium card and a cell phone. I'd rather repair it at home.
tools are left at home, carry a chair & cooler. what would you need tools for.
I helped my friend with his roadside repair a couple weeks ago. So I guess i'm the "tool"
