    41 chevy /BBC swap ????????

I have a 454 /T350 or a 700R4 combo and am looking for something to drop it in. I have found a car, a darn decent and titled- 41 Chevy Coupe gennie driver. Any tips as to the swap? Mount kits ,exaust? Which RE's fit? I heard 67-9 camaro/firechicken will work. Other issues? I Plan on a "Desert Cooler" radiator and AC ,stock rebuilt front suspension ,51-4 spindles w disc brakes.
    The usual ????

have a 454bbc & 400 turbo in a 39 chevy coupe, so it basicly has same engine size. i used chassis engineering motor mts. & trans crossmember. since they are made it bolt in( i welded mine) you can install them & slide them around until you have the engine exactly where you want it. I used a short water pump due to the limited space. don't install the motor mts. where the instructions say, they are intended for a sbc; but are just fine Fine for a bbc. you have to remember a bbc is 3" longer in front than a sbc. so with the motor & trans loosely installed ; slide the engine back as far as you can, but leave alittle room for the trans dipstick tube, and so the valve covers will be easy to removE. then just bolt it in, DO NOT WLED IT YET!!! until evry thine checks out fine.
I used a 4 core radiator from walker. works great. it will be tight but I put a puller fan in(had to cut a section of the shroud cover on the fan to clear the water pump pulley. the fan is a zirgo 16" 3985 cfm. the engine runs cool. about 160 with a water temp sending unit in the intaKE NEXT TO THE THERMOSTAT. i ALSO HAVE A MECHCANICAL TEMP GUAGE IN THE HEAD WHICH RUNS 225 ALL THE TIME. so overheating is not a problem. if you want to talk my phone # is ...317.694.1448, I can also email a few pics if it will help. my email is ...hottrodd57@embarqmail.com.

had to make over the frame headers , could not get any manifold or "cookie-cutter" headers to fit. if you will be using a ifs you can probable use just about any header. I stayed with the i beam set-up in my car & the headers would allways hit the steering box or interfered with the steering linkage.
