Phil,
You have asked a pretty general question.....you might narrow the question by describing which type of body....32 Ford, Cobra, 1952 Henry J, etc...then the people can throw their 2 cents in regarding their opinion. In any event, there is probably a consensus regarding the "worst" brand of bodies....probably more brands fall into the "marginal" or "bad" than in the "good" category.

Boy, are you going to get a variety of answers on this one. However, since you're in KC, you've got two top suppliers withing an hour or so. Pete and Jakes http://www.peteandjakes.com for chassis in Peculiar, MO and Redneck http://www.redneckstreetrods.com/ in Atchison, KS.
Another one is N&N Fiberglass http://www.nnfiberglass.com/ in Bellevue, AR. One of our members (Iceburgh) has one of their coupes. Photos on this thread. http://www.clubhotrod.com/forums/showthread.php?t=23772
Wescott is probably the cream of the crop. They're expensive, but there aren't many (if any) bodies on the market better than theirs.
DON'T buy a Gibbon from anyone . . . ever! Trust me.
Depends on what you're looking for. Wescott's are still top of the line, Outlaw is good and so is Redneck... Some other quality bodies out there, depending on what you're looking for.
Willys or 33 Ford or Cobra. Antique and Collictable is hard to beat. No seams to grind down. Clean and smooth all around.
