Hooked on phonics didn't work for me...My phone bill is still high. And that damn stair master didn't work either, I gained 14 pounds, and I stared at it for three months.
Yeah, that 'R' valve is a pain. If it has markings at all, it's usually marked 'IN' or 'OUT'...In from where and out to where??? If it has arrows on it, I start looking for the Indian that shot it...Maybe he can tell me where they go.
I'm using a residual valve from an S-10. It has an electrical connection at the top. I have no idea what it's for. I'm wondering if I can use it for a brake light switch.52 Ford F-1, 327 Chevy, S-10 frame

That electrical connection is for a dash indicator light that operates only when you have a problem - there is an internal spool valve that moves in case of a failure at one end or the other of the vehicle.

Ok I went out and looked at mine. I have Willwood ones. I use 2# for disc brakes.
One end is marked "MC" goes toward the master cyl. The other is marked "out" so it goes toward the brakes. I have them on both front and rear brakes and use a double MC and a proportioning valve on the rear discs.41 Willys 350 sbc 6-71 blower t350, 9in, 4 link
