Been looking for several days. Only place that even hinted that they might have them is in UK. I don't have a complete machine shop and the local shops are all telling me 6-8 weeks minimum. I would like to finish this car before I die so trying to find some on somebodies shelf.:)
ok i know a guy try to get the name and number for you monday nigth i will pm you
preciate it. Thanks
What size and thread pitch?
Any chance some crud got into the half-nuts and are not allowing them to close all the way?

This is where all the home machinist guys hang out. There may be some one that can help you. You will have to register however, no problem.

that look s like it would not be to hard to make it. one piece of iron then cut it the hard part would be to get the iron to make it out of
That cat's claws ought to be able to cut a nice Acme thread.
Got almost the same picture of a Black Bear up in Northern Minn when we we hunting one year.
Makes you wonder who owns the night. haha
I have steel in the shop I could make them out of but I still dont have a mill and a 7/8x8 acme tap is 160 dollars. That is quite a bit for a one time deal. However, there is a Bridgeport knee mill on a auction sale this weekend:3dSMILE: . I really regret selling my mill when I moved. At this point, I may wind up making them with a file and die grinder.Quote:
