I have a high performance engine that is not running right, all new parts. Could the cam be wrong,or timed wrong -too high of a performance? Engine does not idle ,does not have power. The only markings on the cam is TA9250,any idea what type this is? What can I do.

Some fixturing and a dial indicator will give you the lift.
As to who's cam it is, maybe try a google search?
Sorry, no google match for that number.....
Maybe get hold of whoever put the engine together or the previous owner and see if he has more info on the engine?Yesterday is history, tomorrow is a mystery, Live for Today!

Welcome to CHR. I think that you need to hook up your vacuum advance. At part throttle when cruising you have less air and fuel in each cylinder, and the air-fuel mixture is not as densely packed...
