I've got a 30 Model A with a Street Rod with a stock Mustang II front suspension, 350 sbc, TH350, etc. In other words the usual stuff. The car was a project when purchased and the previous owner had already welded in the front end and used the stock arms so I left it that way. I cut the front springs to lower it a little when I started on the car but after a few years I decided to lower it a little more. I have the stance I want but now the shocks don't have enough travel. They bottom out. I know the Mustang II shocks don't have that much travel to begin with, maybe 3" at best. Does anybody make a shock that's a little bit shorter? How have some of you solved this problem? I didn't really want to have to buy new arms although some tubular ones would be nice. I just don't want the shocks to bottom out. Any ideas?
