what are the pros and cons of solid motor mounts?
They are great for drag racing---they transmit a lot of noise and vibration to the car itself---not the best choice for a street driven car----If you go to a solid type motor mount, it is recommended that you go to a solid tranny mount as well to keep from breaking the tranny case.
No reason to do it unless who would be switching to front and mid mount plates and using the block as an integral part of your chassis stiffening.... Just solid motor mounts themselves do nothing but transmit a lot of vibration into the rest of the car....
How much does a Divorce attorney cost? Seriously, if it's street driven, go soft. There are a lot of suppliers that provide what you want for street driven, if your wife is riding along with you, you might want to reconsider solids. Good thing is they don't break under torque. I like the polyurethane mounts from Energy Suspension. Not too soft and not too stiff. Just Right!
