Steering box
Hi all,
Sorry been so long since I have been here, I moved towns, jobs, clubs etc etc which seems to take up a lot of time (about a month actually!).
Anyway, after a long drive here in the Chev (56 Bel Air w 350 chev), I noticed that I was using more power steering fluid than what I was petrol. Infact, if idiling it was spitting it out on the ground like a good old river. I isolated it down to the bottom of the steering box, but can get no more specific than that. Any ideas, do I need to take the steering box out and see if any seals are broken, or is there an easier way? If taking the box out, what are the things to look for? If I do, will I need a wheel alignment? What are the potential issues that could cause this problem? If I need to get it done professionally, would it be cheaper to get it done or just pick another one up?

I saw last night on fb about John. The world sure lost a great one. I'm going to miss his humor, advice, and perspective from another portion of the world. Rest in Peace Johnboy.
