Looking to change over to these side exhaust stacks on my 37. What are your opinions?
What are you putting them on?, i like em on the trucks, i think they look neat
Are you originally from N.Y.? I always thought it was a southern thing!
Damn! :D
talk about an "in your face" statement!
I dunno, I think your truck looked perfect before them. So, my vote is no. I always think these make a truck look Mack truck-ish,
But, it's your truck.
Don
uhhhh. No...
The truck looks cool without.
Please no stacks, unless you have a jake brake too.
No - low class the with the stacks, look terrible.
Now that these guys have sugar coated it, I'll just say...............no.
If your looking to hear more sound then thats the way . I've seen some, depending on how it was built looked good not to high they sorta flowed with the cab , and also seen some they just didn't work on the look. Stacks in all though really dont fit a pick up .
I don't mind the look, but as shown, you may get reversion back into the cab. Needs to stick up just over the roofline. Don't forget condensation buids up in them, and every time you start the engine, all that crap inside blows out all over your truck. Hank
i'd say no chevy. duels out the back looks better. :HMMM:
No........unless you've converted over to diesel & air brakes..........
Regs
Ok guess I'll have to buy that big mack rig I'm thinking of buying and go with the dual stacks on that.:D
Sure , go for it...........If you like that ringing in your ears.............Otherwise, forget it.
Stacks don't belong on pickups..........
Better late than never......no.
my vote........ nope
hell no:whacked:
Keep 'em...Just raise them up a bit. Get them above the roof. If you've got straight pipes without mufflers, then buy Tylenol, you're gonna need it. If you got some kind of muffler system, it shouldn't be so bad.
I'm even looking into a pair of bologna sliced stacks for my 52 F1. Jake Brake? Sure! A couple of bowls of chili and we got us a Jake Brake.
Am I TRYING to look like a trucker??? NO!
I was one for 33 years. I feel right at home with stacks.
18 wheeler stacks on a pick-up...That's a no-no. There are pipes that are meant for a pick-up, and look good if properly installed.
Sorry guys, but I'm an old hot rodder and customizer. I believe that every rodder should build his ride to suite his tastes and not the opinion of the masses. It's what makes us individuals within a common bond.
What you say is true, everyone's ride should be built the way the want it... But he was asking for opinions, seems everyone is giving their honest opinion...Quote:

I'd have to say no as well. Looks cleaner without the stacks on there.Quote:
