Chevy 5.3 question

I have the chance to get a '03 5.3 out of a friends truck. It has been burning antifreeze for a while and he's decided for what it could cost to do possible repairs, he is just going to replace the motor, and I can get it for core charge.

My question is can I use the heads on my older 350. I know I will need a different intake (vortec I assume) I'm not sure about headers.

This is assuming that the heads are not the problem to start with, I am hoping the head gasket's are bad. The motor has 120k on it , but the oil was changed every 3k, and the it seems real tight.

5.3 is based on the LS1 design, but is diffrent than the LS1. probably has a blown head gasket. problem is, your going to need a computer to run it.

LS heads don't work on Gen I SBCs.
