Surf your way over to www.tanksinc.com. I think they might even have a replacement tank for your car. Those tanks are set up for an electric fuel pump for EFI if that's what you need. They are also baffled. Most tanks run about $200 and the pump is about the same. That's where I got the tank and pump for my conversion and am quite pleased. I just checked and they do list one for a 39 Chevy passenger car:

They also have a replacement neoprene tank.

P.S. Putting the electric pump in the tank is desirable becase the fuel in the tank cools the pump, and the pumps last longer. It is also much quieter. Those are just two reasons all the OEMs are doing it that way now.

Of course, that's just my opinion, I could be wrong!
