Help with hood on 37 Dodge

    Hi Everyone,

New to this site and hoping someone here can help. I have a 37 Dodge truck with the hood hinged in the center and side skirts. I have removed the side skirts and can't figure out how to hold the top two sides down without it looking tacky or drilling holes through the hood. I'm sure that lots of other cars use this same style hood and someone has came up with a way to hold down the top. I also would like to be able to lift one or both sides about 6 to 8 inches at car shows so I don't want to fasten the hood down permanently. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.

with no side skirts you could probably put a latch on the underside of the hood that latched to the firewall or front radiator support. I don't know how you would do this without drilling or welding though, also I have no idea what your car looks like so i could be way off base.
