well no but i have done two sets no dyno time but the ford will.but there will not be any other set to run the ford with. every one i have talk to the first step is about at 12 inchs and like you said the collector is were it at all the headers i have done are90%drag car only nothing i do runs slower must be the dyno i have:3dSMILE:
Thanks Pat. I was thinking someplace between 10 and 15 inches from the flange to the step.... I know why step headers work the way they do, just trying to get dialed in on where the would work the best. Twelve inches must be about it. I've looked at a number of sets and they all seem to be right in that range....
Just put some BIG tubes on there and force the air though the engine with a huffer. :LOL: :LOL: :LOL: :LOL: :LOL: :LOL:
low backpressure can kill low end torque on some motors esp. small block / med H.P. big blocks less so , diesels LOVE no back pressure . Had one just used turbo as only back-pressure 3.5 to back - sucker ran great & about 15-20 degrees cooler. 34
