what blasting media
My parents got me a small table top Harbor Freight sand blasting cabinent, 36" X 26" I belive, but when I opened it up, the glass was smashed, so my mom is exchanging it for a new 1, of the same model on tues when they get a new shipment in of them. but whail she's there, I'm going to have her pick up blasting media, but what do I want, they sell aluminum oxide, glass beads and sand. I want to just do basic rusty parts clean up ( brackets, ect... )?

Just plain old sand is probably the most cost effective for metal parts.... Oh yeah, make sure you run a good dryer and regulator on the air line to the cabinet..... Once the media gets moisture in it, it's junk.

Got the same cabinet just use sand. be sure to put protective sheet on the glass.

where do I get the protective sheet?.
I have a water seperator/ regulator I could T off of. I hooked up a ball balve into a T coming off of it, going to the quick connect going thru the wall ( painting line ), just have to add an elbow and another T w drain valve on it, and run that line to where I need it.

i use glass beads. no pits:D

The protective sheets should come with the unit. they are a little smaller than the glass and stick on the inside so's not to blast glass.
