Explain to us what it is you stripped.
Was it the bolt heads?
You can use easy offs.they are made to take off stripped bolts.
What they are made to do is to grab the bolt.
If the threads are stripped, drill and tap for next size bigger bolt, you'll have to redrill your lower pulley bolt holes when it goes back together, too.
Yes, its the bolt holes that i stipped. I was stupid and used to big of bolts in the first place and was in a hurry and stripped the crap out of the bolt holes.
thanx for the quick reponses.

Ok, I retapped the holes and now the bolts are too big for my harmonic balancer puller thing. Do they make bigger ones anywhere or is there any other type of way to pull it?
thanx again,
david
I don't know how much work you want to do or how much room you have. If you have the room put bolts on the holes you taped with lock tite. Cut off the heads, drill and tap them to the right size. If you don't have that much room put bolts in the holes with washewrs on them put the puller ears under the washers and tighten the bolts. C4 also comes to mind:eek:
I would go to work on the puller with a rat tail file to enlarge the slots a little for the bigger bolts.Quote:

thank you guys for all the tips. I have never done this before so im having to learn. I feel like I opened a can of worms here now.
Ill try to do what you guys said.
Thanx again

Ok. I used the heli coils and they worked great for holding the bolts in and everything at first. I had to put it back together for a week before attempting to pull it again. I went to pull it again yesterday and my freaking tools started bending and stripping my puller bolt! Is this normal? Ive only pulled on once, and it was off an old 327 engine and it was very easy.
I pulled to bolts out and they were all chewed up and the bolts also had a tumor looking thing at the beggining of the threads from the heli coil digging into it.
This balancer feels like its freaking glued or welded on. Thanks ahead for any advice.
Hope you took the big washer off the end of the crank...................
your talking about the balancer bolt and washer right?
