    Question Not Wanting to Fire When Its Cold

    My 64 Impala is not one that will fire in the cold.It has to be over 50 out side b4 she'll do her thing.
    I have done the following: New inginition (MSD), fuel pump,alternator, battery, timing chain. The carb has an elec. choke, which both were reset b4 moving to Ar. in May.
    Any suggestion's????

    Check your fuel lines, sounds like it drains down overnight. takes a while to pump up to carb. Check all rubber hoses and fittings, bet thats the problem.

    pump the gas pedal 3 times then
    mash the pedal to the floor
    then crank it over
    as soon as it fires up
    let the gas pedal up

    my 2 cents worth
    it works for us and we have a lot colder weather up here in the frozen north
