Don't be so quick to jump in.Do a little research.Dont get it cause you see everyone else has it.You might end up limiting your self ,it might not meet your needs.Ask as many questions as possible,and check that Miller site.They have a informative message board.
thanks don :) yes you will use the mig less .i will show you some welds with the pulse timer that look killer on the oval tube EX i am doing right now i may post:confused: the header deal was not a hot post:(

Don, I have the Miller Syncrowave 180. Its a great machine! I got it through Cyberweld - no problems.

Christmas came a little early this year. Today the truck showed up with the new Tig, and I had no idea they were so big (and heavy) thing weighs almost 300 lbs. So, I had no choice but to tell Dan to come to my work and bring his utility trailer, because I couldn't handle it alone. I finally settled on the Miller 200. Had to use our forklift to load it.
I figure he is no little kid, and besides, he could be using it for the next two weeks if I gave it to him now, so that is what I did. I haven't seen Dan that excited in a long time, and it felt terrific. I think it blew him away, and I am so glad I made this decision. It was the one he wanted to buy, so it worked out great.
Thanks to all who offered suggestions. You all helped make one guys Christmas a lot happier. (and his Dad's projects a lot cooler, he he)

BTW, if any of you are thinking of using Cyberweld, I couldn't say more good things about them. Very professional, helpful, and best prices I found. I just learned Dan bought his 210 Miller Mig and our Plasma cutter from them too, and all transactions were fantastic.

Don, I agree with the guys here. The 250 is a serious machine. A couple of things to keep in mind though, one always buy more machine than you need if you can afford it. Two, I wouldn't buy a cooler unless you are going to be doing a lot of tigging in one setting. If you are just hitting it now and then for an hour or two, you probably do not really need the cooler, and the money can be used to maybe get the stitch and pulse options. I am currently using a 400 amp machine (somebody else's) but I also need to some big aluminum stuff. I have looked at several different welders and even tried a thermadyne 185 the other day. Still going with my 250 for sure. It will do eveything I plan for and them some if i need it to. I have not heard any bad about Cyberweld, and will most likely will buy my machine from them as well. They seem to have some good deals. There is another outfit in Indiana that I found smurfin around on Ebay. They seem to have some good prices occasionally.
