Don't know about the infrared heaters, but I did buy a small 220 volt electric heater from Menard's awhile back. I use it in my storage garage, works great and was about $150.00......

Doesnt infra red heat you like the sun. The light waves penetrate deeper into your skin, making you feel warm, but the stuff around in the room stays cooler?
    Or something like that.

That would be good for a shop.

Ya ,thats the reason I am looking for a infrared heater. It heats up objects like machines, tools, metal, and CONCRETE FLOOR(which is the coldest).I have 2 other heaters which warm up the air.
