Jack, Congratulations! BBBBAD is right, you built one bitchin' coupe! Only problem I see is getting in and out with the swelled head you are sure to get from all the compliments it will bring....
Pat
That Sir is a HOT ROD !!!! :D :D No question at all what it is. Looks really good, and the color was a perfect choice. Bet it moves pretty well too?
Don
WOW !! Yes sir!, that's a hot rod for sure.  Almost too purty to drive. I think you need to trailer it.  Right up to my house.  PM me for directions.
Since Don used my patented, copyrighte phrase, I'm re-opening the thread.
Finally . . . after 64 days of DMV bureaucracy . . .

Next step - state inspection. Fortunately, I've found a street rodder who owns a service station.
I'm taking the wife up to the Eastern Shore (Cape Charles, VA) for her birthday on Friday - Sunday. If I had the car all tested and run in, it would be a great inagural road trip. No way I'm going several hundred miles right out of the box, though.
Ah, come on Jack. Where's your pioneer spirit?? Got tags, got tools, got gas and a lot of adrenalin and you're set to go.:D  Just remember to pack your AAA card and your American Express card just in case.:D
Yeah, Jack, with all the time you spent here in the great plains states you should have enough sense of adventure to try it.
The car is looking so sweet. If it were me I couldn't help but drive it an a road trip. :) :) :)
It took me about 10 minutes to get the plates this morning. A welcome change from the normal DMV hassle. There's a DMV office in the Virginia Beach City Hall which most people apparently don't know about. It's staffed by a nice-looking crew of ladies - none of whom have the normal DMV attitude.
I couldn't get the exact plate I had in Nebraska - and other places for almost 20 years, but I got close. Upload in a minute or two.
that there is 1 sweet ride enjoy yourself ,dig the lic.plate.
Great taste in color, stance, wheels,,,,but I'd be awful tempted to add a subtile though small orange/red (certain shade) flame(small) so to add a touch of contrast but not draw attention.
I've been thinking about some subtle graphics, but I need to get the upholstery done first. That happens this winter.
I drove it about 5-6 miles this evening, but didn't go out on the highway. I live only a couple of miles from a police station, and I don't have my state inspection yet. That comes Friday morning.
It runs straight and true - even hands off at 35-40 mph. It's running really, really fat, though. I need to get to tuning.
And . . . where the bleep do I put a front license plate? That big, square thing hoses up the whole look of the front end.
Sounds like you need something hydraulic to raise and lower the front plate at the appropriate times. That or move to PA. We don't use front plates.
Virginia does? Havn't been 'down home' in a while but don't think West Virginia does????? 'course,,,,we don't ask for much there,,,,just, when you run off the side of the mtn. on rt.10,,,please don't leave it there,,,,Fox & CNN will see it when they return with the next coal mine mishap.
Jack, bout the only thing that would look right would be mount it underneath that nose, don't hide or cover the nose, Just a suggestion.
