ok, i need to figure out a rearend to hold the power i plan on putting out with my big block chrysler. lets assume 900hp and 1,000ft lbs of torque (im aiming high, but id rather be safe than sorry) the car will hopefully be no more than 2800lbs (stock weight) and comes with IRS from the factory. it is an 87, rx7 turbo. the stock rearend is pretty strong, but with power levels high, they wont last long and the 4.10 gearing is too low for me.

i need something like 3.55 to 3.73 range, i know the cobra 8.8 has been tried, but im not sure if they completed it yet. and the c4 vette rearend has been done too. but are there any other options that can handle big power? ive thought of the viper rearend but those are pretty expensive and hard to find. what are you guys using? for the levels i want, is the only option solid rear or some sort of hybrid?
