Cars with 44.5" D.S. ??
Well i went through with the th-350 swap to the firebird, everything went suprisingly smooth, now i jsut need a driveshaft. The 350 has the 6" tailshaft, so my shaft ends up 3 inches short, I was given a list of cars that were equipped with th-200r's, which should have the shaft i need, but after a day at the autowreckers I still have no luck. The th-200r is the same length as a th-350, so a 3rd gen camaro or firebird with a th-200r4 would be what i need? I was told soem in 82 and 83 had them, anybody got an answer or suggestion? I really cant go and spent 200-300$ on top of all this to get one made, thanks guys.

If no one can give you a stock driveshaft that is a perfect fit, simply take 2 driveshafts to a driveline shop and have them make one that is the length you need. That is what I did when I put the 5.0 in the Jeep.........walked in with a Ford driveshaft and a Jeep driveshaft, he cut them in half, made a sleeve, and welded them together. Tons of miles, sometimes pulling lots of weight, and never a problem. Usually under $ 150.00.
