Thread: Where to get u-bolts

I guess flip is not the right term. I am putting the axle on top of the springs instead of under it. I am going to weld a plate on the bottom of the axle which will now sit on top of the springs. Then I will use a ubolt long enough to go from the bottom of the springs, through the plate I have just installed, and then through the original spring mounting pad on the axle and bolt it there. I thought I would put a set of bolts between the two pads also to secure the bottom pad first before tightening the top ones. I will end up needing about an 8" u bolt to tie it all together.
Thanks,
CHAZ

Ok, that's better. Any truck spring shop in your area can usually fix you up. They also modify springs pretty inexpensively, too.

Spring shop
I agree - I just had a 1/2dia x 9"Leg with a 4 1/4 opening made up locally in Albany, NY for a driveshaft loop for less than $7.00 including HD nuts and washers.
