I have a 1982 El Camino with a 305 on a th 350 transmission. I put some trick flow 23 degree heads on it, an edelbrock eps intake and performer carb. I got it all timed and running and took it for a drive things went well. But then I decided to see what it could do i took off and brought the rpms up to about 4000 before the tranny w/ shift kit slammed into second gear it grabbed for a second then every thing went out. It was like I put it in neutral. so i pulled over and stopped I no longer have 1st,2nd,3rd, or reverse. Would this be my torque converter or possibly the tranny pump or what?
