    hood latch cable

     



    Does anyone know how to get to a broken hood latch on a 79 corvette with out cutting a hole in the hood?

    Now was that latch made in USA or U.S.A.?

    I'm looking closer to the dots behind the U..the..S...and the A..from now on...BUT I ain't for sure if Streets is stroking me or not....Hey Steve..are you sure its the latch and not the cable..It is cable controlled ain't it...Can you pull an inner fender well to get there???....I almost went back to YUKON JACK fixing the last one that went belly up for me.....Al.. .PS..The Jack is a real potent orangy tasting booze.....Yummy !!!..Then not now....Yet...
    The cylinders have to be inline.!!!

    The corvettes have a latch on each side of the hood at the rear. You should be able to reach up and release each if you get it up on a lift.
