Low Buck Details
I thought this might give some ideas to a few of you :)
I was originally going to have these details hand painted, but when the place I work for needed some signs made up for the trucks we have I went down and talked to the folks.
These are regular automotive decals. Personally I think it came out great. The Plymouth I put on the dash will likely last indefinitely. I was told the ones I used on the rear normally last about 5 years when exposed to the elements out here in AZ on a daily basis.
It took them about a week to make and the cost was $4.00 a decal.
To me it's just one of those things that are a nice touch.

Looks like you're making good progress on the car Mike. Tailights, trim, bumper............attaboy!
Little details like these are the special interest points of a well done car. I always have a little internal chuckle when I read a comment like, "Oh, all those_____________ look alike. I'm going to do something different." Then they expound on what they're going to do that's already been done before, perhaps many times. The seasoned builder like yourself understands that the difference is in the details. The inattentive may not get it, but the experienced will. Good on you!

Being a Plymouth owner I like the Plymouth decal on the instrument panel, looks really nice.
As for the "Built by..... on the car, my builder told me if I did that he would sue me for defamation of character.

Hey Mike, I need some of them that say Ford, like in the old Ford script!!!! Would they consider doing them for others? If it's just for you, I'm really jealous!!!!

Thanks Bob, actually the car is coming along pretty nicely. This is the nice part of the build, alll the scrapping, sanding, coating, painting etc are done and I get to work with nice clean parts. A lot of the stuff that has been sitting around collecting dust can now be put where it belongs. The glass should go back in this week and then it's on to the upholestry. The engine and transmission will go in last.

Well Mopar34 as I am the builder if it doesn't come out as well as I think it will I'll be taking that one off

I'm sure they would Dave, chances are there is a sign shop around your area (some one who does graphics for trucks businesses etc) and I would expect the cost would be comparable.
The price really blew me away, but guess with computers and the machines they have small production orders are not a problem. ( Had a couple of the "Plymouth" made and 8 of the "Built by s" done) and frankly I would have gladly have paid more within reason. I just took a sample in of what I wanted.
If you can't find something locally PM me and I can put you in touch with these guys.

that plymouth emblem does add a nice touch

I'd like to get a script decal that says Turbocharged in black lettering, there are chrome emblems that say it and www.fordsix.com has a few decals that say turbocharged Inline 6 but they look cheesy. I know of 2 sign shops.
