I've been trying to install the window channel kit in my 46 Ford 1/2 ton. The problem is with the two horizontal wiper strips, inner and outer. They are held in place with clips that snap into door holes, and then the clips are bent over the metal bead of the strips.
I first installed the clips, then the strip, but could not get the clips bent over the strip. Tried every tool I had that seemed applicable to the job. Finally used a large blade screwdriver, with heavy rubber gasket between it and the door, and used the side opposite the clips as a fulcrum. Could not get the clips satisfactorily fastened.
Any ideas? Help!
