Hi guy's, Just got my 350 rebuilt big time and I'm running a Performer intake with a Performer 1406 series 600 carb. My question is, the intake is a two plane intake, what 1 inch spacer do I use and is there a benifit by using one! Thanks.

When using a edelbrock carb w/a performer intake you MUST use a 1/8" spacer & 2 gaskets.(look at Summits cat). If you have a heat problem in the engine problem a wood/plastic/or metal spacer will give limited help. Yoy need to made a way for more air to get out of the enine compartment.
This spacer is needed when a square bore carb is placed on a spread bore intake for clearance.........Don
only way to know if it makes more horsepower IN YOUR CAR (your combination of parts, etc) is to try different spaces and have the car dyno'd after each change.
